The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma or BEng in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Proficiency in PLCs, VSDs, and motor control circuits, plus strong safety awareness, are essential.

About the Role

This role is crucial for minimizing unplanned downtime and maximizing the efficiency of plant operations through robust maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational integrity within the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and rapidly resolve electrical faults and breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee corrective maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements of electrical components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations, including OHS Act requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment reliability and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in Randburg .

Requirements

• National Diploma or BEng in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
