Placements24 is seeking a qualified Electrical Installation Technician to join the Kimberley team. The role covers installation and maintenance of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings, with a focus on safety and adherence to codes.

The candidate should be detail-oriented with strong technical skills, able to travel within the Northern Cape and work both independently and in a team to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate and installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, safety procedures, and building codes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with various types of electrical equipment and testing devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing timelines.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in compliance with safety regulations and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Install and connect power supply, lighting, and control systems.
• Work with blueprints and technical diagrams to plan and execute installations.
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials, and time spent in Kimberley.
