Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Field Installation and Maintenance Technician to join our team serving the Kimberley region in the Northern Cape. You will install and maintain specialized equipment at client sites, ensuring installations meet high standards and equipment runs efficiently.

The role demands practical mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer service. Travel to customer locations, follow safety protocols, and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical installation or maintenance.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to equipment serviced.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals for installation and repair purposes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition for manual tasks related to installation and maintenance.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel to client sites in and around Kimberley.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations of new equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventative servicing to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues or malfunctions reported by clients.
• Provide customers with basic training on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities performed.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company procedures during all on-site work.
