Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee electrical services for our client's commercial and residential properties in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead design, installation, maintenance and upgrades of electrical systems, ensuring safety, energy efficiency and compliance with SANS standards.

The role requires strong project management and team leadership, with a track record in building services and property development.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA essential.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering for building services.
• Experience managing electrical projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, power systems and safety standards for buildings.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy efficiency strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the electrical engineering department and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
• Oversee design/implementation of electrical systems for new builds and refurbishments (power, lighting, emergency systems).
• Develop and manage budgets for electrical projects and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, SANS standards and safety regulations.
• Manage service providers and contractors, ensuring quality of work.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules for electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement solutions.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in building services electrical engineering.
• Liaise with clients, architects and consultants for integrated project delivery.
