Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical installations and systems on construction projects around Benoni. You will ensure safety, compliance with design specs and electrical codes, and collaborate with site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• ECSA PrEng or PrTechEng registration required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of SA electrical codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage electrical systems for construction projects.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical equipment on-site.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings and documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors and clients on electrical matters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction.
