Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an electrical engineer with at least 2 years of experience to contribute to HV/MV power systems projects in Gauteng. The role involves analyzing protection schemes, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with SANS and IEC standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and focus on safety and engineering quality. Candidates should hold a BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering, with strong communication skills and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or BSc in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 2+ years’ relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in HV/MV power systems, substations, utilities, mining, renewable energy, EPC or industrial environments.
• Exposure to HV equipment, protection systems, switchgear and transformers.
• Understanding of electrical protection and power-system principles.
• Experience with electrical calculations and power-system studies will be advantageous.
• Ability to interpret and develop single-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of applicable SANS, IEC and grid-code requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent technical communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• A strong focus on electrical safety, technical quality and engineering compliance.
