The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (High Voltage) in Gauteng. You will lead HV project design and delivery from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements include a BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering and 7–10+ years HV experience, with exposure to substations, transmission and distribution

Formación

• 7–10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong HV focus.
• Strong HV protection schemes, earthing, and substation knowledge.
• Experience across design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Professional registration (Pr. Eng) advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and execution of high-voltage electrical engineering projects.
• Develop, review and approve HV drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and utility requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Engage with clients, contractors, utilities, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support feasibility studies, tenders, technical assessments and cost estimates.
• Provide site support during construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Identify project risks and implement safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

We're partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (High Voltage) to join their team in Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional to lead the delivery of complex HV projects from concept design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of high-voltage electrical engineering projects.

• Develop, review and approve HV drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and utility requirements.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.

• Engage with clients, contractors, utilities, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Support feasibility studies, tenders, technical assessments and cost estimates.

• Provide site support during construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.

• Identify project risks and implement safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Requirements

• BEng, BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering

• 7-10+ years' experience in electrical engineering with a strong HV focus

• Experience in HV substations, transmission & distribution networks, reticulation systems and protection schemes

• Proven project exposure across design, construction and commissioning phases

• Professional Registration (Pr. Eng) advantageous

• Experience in energy, infrastructure, mining, industrial or renewable energy projects highly desirable
