Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking a compassionate Educational Psychologist to assess, diagnose, and intervene for children and adolescents within educational settings. You will work closely with families and educators to foster development and academic success, with on-site delivery at our George facility.

The role requires a Master's or Doctorate in Educational Psychology, HPCSA registration, and a minimum of four years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Educational Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Registration with HPCSA as Educational Psychologist.
• At least 4 years post-qualification experience with children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify learning disabilities, attention deficits, emotional disturbances, and developmental delays.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies and therapeutic programs based on assessment findings.
• Provide individual and group therapy to children and adolescents.
• Offer consultation and support to parents, guardians, teachers, and school staff.
• Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and parents.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethics and laws.
• Stay current with research and best practices in educational psychology.
• Advocate for students within educational systems and the broader community.
