Job summary

SmartStart is seeking a self-motivated Club Coach to mentor early learning practitioners across the district, inspiring them to start and sustain preschool social enterprises. The role includes recruiting SmartStarters, licensing and quality assurance, building SmartStart clubs, and coaching to develop new skills while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with local partners.

Qualifications

• Educated to tertiary level; Community Development degree advantageous
• At least 1 year experience coaching/mentoring/facilitation or management/coordinating role
• Three years’ experience in ECD or related sphere
• Ability to work independently and motivate others
• Excellent relationship-building with diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Mentor to SmartStarters running independent preschool social enterprises
• Recruit new SmartStarters and license/quality assure practitioners
• Build and encourage SmartStart clubs (networks)
• Drive understanding and demand for quality early learning and coach develop new skills
