Job summary

SmartStart South Africa is seeking a self-motivated Club Coach for the North West region to mentor our network of early learning practitioners (SmartStarters). You will recruit new SmartStarters, license and quality assure them, and help build and sustain SmartStart clubs across the district.

The role involves coaching and developing SmartStarters to improve skills, with travel to sites. This is a full-time position requiring a driver’s license and willingness to travel, including occasional

Qualifications

• Educated to tertiary level, preferably in Community Development.
• At least 1 year of coaching/mentoring/facilitation or management/coordinating experience.
• Three years of experience in ECD or closely related sphere.
• Valid driver's license and own car.

Responsibilities

• Mentors to SmartStarters who run independent preschool social enterprises.
• Recruit new SmartStarters and license/quality assure all practitioners.
• Build and encourage SmartStart clubs (networks of SmartStarters).
• Drive and create understanding of and demand for quality early learning and coach/develop SmartStarters to gain skills.
