Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled E-commerce Platform Manager in Paarl to oversee online store operations and strategy. You will ensure platform functionality, performance, and continuous improvement to drive sales and optimize the customer journey.

You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT, implement feature rollouts, analyze data, and lead platform upgrades. A strong technical aptitude, experience with Magento, Shopify Plus, or BigCommerce, and expertise in analytics and CRO

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee and optimize their online store operations and strategy in Paarl . You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, performance, and continuous improvement of the e-commerce platform, driving sales, and enhancing the customer journey. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical aptitude and a deep understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, working to deliver a best-in-class online shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to- operations of the e-commerce platform, including content updates, product merchandising, and promotions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve website usability, conversion rates, and customer experience.
• Oversee website performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and liaising with technical teams for issue resolution.
• Plan and execute website enhancements, feature rollouts, and platform upgrades.
• Analyze website data and user behavior to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of online strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Platform Manager , E-commerce Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce) and their functionalities.
• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and their integration with the e-commerce platform.
