Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional, part of RELX, seeks an E-Commerce Planner in Johannesburg to shape online sales strategy, manage campaigns across digital channels and ensure inventory availability from ad to checkout.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, inventory management or supply chain within ecommerce/retail.
• Knowledge of business, marketing and supply chain concepts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP IBP, Anaplan).
• Experience with ecommerce platforms (Magento).
• Familiar with retail metrics like Open-to-Buy, turnover and sales per sq ft.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts using historical data, trends and product lifecycle to support availability.
• Manage inventory flow to minimise excess stock and stock-outs.
• Utilise ecommerce tools, including Shopify/Magento, to manage product listings and inventory levels.
• Leverage Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and BI tools (Power BI) to analyze variances and report trends.
• Align demand plans with purchasing, marketing, logistics and cross-functional teams.
