Job summary

Flink Recruitment is seeking an experienced E&CI Field Technician to support installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical, control and instrumentation systems on mining and mineral processing equipment. This field-based role requires travel to client sites locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate has a BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field, extensive PLC experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

BTech or ND in Electrical Eng., Mechatronics, or Instrumentation.
37 years' experience in industrial automation/mining equipment.
Practical PLC experience required.
Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLC exposure preferred.
Experience with electrical control panels and MCCs.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
Perform fault-finding on PLCs, panels, MCCs, instrumentation and electrical systems.
Assist with PLC and HMI testing and troubleshooting.
Test and commission field instruments and devices.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and I/O lists.
Assist with FAT and SAT at client sites.
Travel to client sites for commissioning and support.
Provide technical feedback and commissioning reports.
Travel locally and internationally as required.
