Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd in Zwelitsha seeks a Sales and Service Consultant to welcome customers in-store, recommend fibre or mobile packages, and perform sign ups, upgrades and porting with accuracy. You’ll resolve queries at first contact and drive retention while maintaining store standards.

You will support daily revenue targets, uphold FICA/KYC compliance and help customers with billing via HeroZone. A dynamic, shift-based retail environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years experience in a customer facing retail, telecoms, call centre or sales environment.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets.
• Sales/marketing or customer service related qualification is advantageous.
• Strong sales acumen is essential.
• Computer literacy across CRM and POS systems is expected.
• Willingness to work a shift based roster, including weekends and public holidays, as per BCEA.
• Ability to stay calm and professional when handling customer complaints.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers and recommend fibre or mobile packages based on needs.
• Complete sign ups, upgrades, SIM swaps and porting, including FICA/KYC and CRM entry.
• Cross-sell where appropriate and follow up on quotes or interest.
• Log queries in CRM and perform first-line troubleshooting; escalate only when needed.
• Guide customers to self-help on HeroZone for billing and account changes.
• Handle complaints calmly and resolve at first contact where possible.
• Lead retention discussions when customers want to cancel and aim to save."
• Open/close store and perform keyholder duties on rotation; reconcile payment device with daily sales.
• Track stock of SIMs, routers, devices and accessories; maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Manage queues during busy periods and hand over to next shift cleanly.
• Maintain FICA/KYC/POPIA compliance on all contracts and data handling.
• Keep CRM data accurate for reporting and commissions.
