Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator for a role in Bloemfontein. You will assist in planning, executing, and managing events in the Arts & Entertainment sector, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in event coordination or event assistance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and scheduling.
• Manage RSVPs, attendee registration, and communication with participants.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all technical and decorative elements are in place.
• Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
• Coordinate with marketing and creative teams to ensure event promotion is effective.
• Maintain accurate event budgets and track expenses.
