Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a Duty Manager for a lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be energetic, eager to learn, and capable of managing staff with confidence in a small-team setting.

You will support the lodge management team and gain exposure to all lodge operations, growing into an all-rounder role.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• Valid first aid level 1 - Preferred
• 1 year previous working experience in similar role

Responsibilities

• Support lodge manager and assistant lodge manager in all duties involved in running the lodge.
• Handle in-camp issues, work independently, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Provide leadership to staff, ensuring respectful and proactive service while separating work from personal life.

Job description

The Duty manager should be able to handle in camp issues and use initiative and work alone and well under pressure. It is very important to acknowledge that we are a very small team and working in close quarters with each other, a friendly demeanor and attitude is what we need. We need the individual to be energetic and be eager to learn and dive in, as well as and handle staff confidently and respectfully and able to discern work from personal. The Duty Manager will serve as support to the lodge manager and Assistant Lodge manager being exposed to all aspects and duties involved in running the lodge, therefore an all rounder individual wanting to grow would be best suited.
