Job summary

CFAO South Africa is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Steel Sales department in Durban. You will drive sales and procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure accurate budgeting and reporting in line with company strategy.

The role requires 6–8 years in Sales/Procurement with >5 years in management, preferably with a steel background, and a strong grasp of procurement, pipeline management, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Matric/equivalent with minimum academic results.
• Tertiary qualification in Business/Financial, Supply Chain Management or Engineering (NQF level 7 preferred).
• 6–8 years sales/procurement experience, >5 years in management; steel background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Sales and Procurement function of the Steel Sales department.
• Oversee supply chain pipeline management and optimal inventory controls.
• Review quotations and orders with suppliers against DOA.
• Maintain key customer and supplier relations; manage key accounts.
• Oversee month-end financial processes and management reporting.
• Lead department budgeting and contribute to strategy development.
• Supervise sales/procurement staff and performance development.
