Placements24 is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee several Durban-area sports facilities in KwaZulu-Natal. The role combines hands-on site leadership with strategic policy development, safety compliance, and budget oversight to maximise performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing sports facilities or large venues.
• Experience overseeing multiple sites or a large, complex facility.
• Strong leadership and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of safety, maintenance and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple facilities within the region, including Durban.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Manage facility budgets, control costs, and identify revenue opportunities.
• Lead, train, and motivate facility management staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to keep equipment and infrastructure in top condition.
• Build relationships with local sports clubs, governing bodies, and community stakeholders.
• Implement strategic initiatives to enhance patron experience and facility utilization.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and site inspections for operational excellence across venues.
