Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive for a Durban-based role in the freight and logistics sector. You will drive new revenue by prospecting, engaging clients, and closing deals, while tailoring courier solutions to client needs.

You will build a robust sales pipeline, prepare tenders and presentations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 is required.
Minimum 5 years' sales experience, preferably in logistics/courier.
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
Proven ability to generate new business, develop leads and close deals.
Excellent negotiation, communication and client relationship management skills.
Target-driven, proactive and results-focused.

Responsibilities

Drive new business revenue through prospecting, lead generation, client engagement and deal closure.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline.
Analyse client requirements and recommend appropriate courier and logistics solutions.
Prepare tenders, proposals, presentations and sales reports.
Build, manage and retain strong client relationships, including effective after-sales service and regular follow-ups.
Consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales and product targets.
Monitor and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and submit weekly activity reports and statistics.
Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and available products and services.
Work closely with internal teams and management to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
Manage relevant sales administration and internal processes.
