Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for an on-site role in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will analyze manufacturing processes, apply Lean and Six Sigma methods, and design improvements to boost productivity, quality, and cost efficiency across the facility.

You’ll collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams, develop and document SOPs, conduct time-and-motion studies, and assist in the layout of new lines or reconfigurations to optimize throughput and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4 years in industrial engineering, preferably manufacturing.
Proven Lean/Six Sigma project experience and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and quality issues.
Design and implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and workflow analyses.
Develop and document SOPs for new and existing processes.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to implement changes.
Track KPIs related to productivity, quality, and cost.
Assist in design/layout of new or reconfigured production lines.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
