Job summary

Milton Resourcing is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative for its Durban branch in the fluid power sector. You will manage existing customers, visit regularly, and identify new opportunities while preparing accurate quotations and maintaining high service standards.

The ideal candidate has a technical/mechanical background, five years of sales experience in fluid power, a valid driver's licence, and residence in Durban.

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics and Science.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Must reside in the Durban area.
• Minimum 5 years sales experience in the Fluid Power industry.
• Technical and mechanical background.
• Hydraulic/Pneumatic qualification (MerSETA).
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is advantageous.
• Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SYSPRO ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual gross profit and sales targets.
• Manage and grow an existing customer base through regular customer visits.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Prepare accurate quotations and ensure customer enquiries are handled efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Prepare sales reports and attend sales meetings.
• Assist with tenders where applicable.
• Liaise with engineering and workshop teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain high levels of customer service.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
