Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead development and delivery of energy infrastructure projects in the Durban area. You will guide lifecycle activities from feasibility through commissioning, coordinating stakeholders, procurement, and regulatory approvals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in project management within the energy sector, excellent leadership, and a solid understanding of project finance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in energy/infrastructure.
• PMP or similar certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of energy infrastructure projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate feasibility, site selection, environmental permitting, and approvals.
• Oversee procurement for EPCs and key equipment suppliers.
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with obligations.
• Engage with government, communities, investors, and utility partners.
