Placements24 seeks an Electrical Project Manager to oversee major electrical installations in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will plan, execute, and deliver projects, coordinating contractors, managing budgets, and ensuring safety and quality across commercial, industrial, and residential developments.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and proven project leadership. You will drive schedules, monitor risks, and report progress to stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience managing electrical projects in construction/infrastructure.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and resource management skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and ensure code compliance.
• PM certifications such as PMP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and closeout of electrical projects from inception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate electrical contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure work complies with specifications, codes, and safety rules.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Prepare status reports for management and clients.
• Manage finances including expenses, invoices, and variations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulators for smooth delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Resolve conflicts and address project challenges.
