Placements24 in Mpumalanga urgently seeks a qualified Drilling Fluids Engineer to provide technical support for drilling operations near Nelspruit. You will design and manage drilling fluid systems to ensure safe well construction and optimal performance.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong fluid chemistry knowledge, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or related role.
- Strong knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Design and recommend drilling fluid systems for specific well conditions.
- Supervise mixing and maintenance of drilling fluids on location.
- Monitor properties, analyze performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure environmental and safety compliance for drilling fluids.
- Conduct laboratory testing and provide technical recommendations.
