Job summary

Elchemie seeks a Contract Manager Housekeeping for Drakensberg to oversee daily housekeeping operations at a site-based role. You will manage rosters, attendance, and performance while ensuring top service standards and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include inspections, safety compliance, stock monitoring, reporting, and staff development in a fast-paced hotelgroup environment. This is an on-site Drakensberg position with a permanent opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years experience in a housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, or supervisory management role
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Experience managing housekeeping teams within hospitality, hotels, or facilities environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Professional, well-presented, and client-service driven
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential
• Computer literacy and strong administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure high service standards are maintained across the site
• Manage housekeeping staff, rosters, attendance, leave, and overall team performance
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations
• Resolve housekeeping-related queries and complaints efficiently and professionally
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, hygiene standards, and company policies
• Monitor stock levels, housekeeping supplies, and operational requirements
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing performance management
• Ensure accurate reporting, timesheet management, and administrative duties are completed timeously
• Drive operational efficiency and maintain a professional working environment at all times
