Job summary

ReWorks Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Division 8 Estimator for remote work in South Africa. You will prepare cost estimates for doors, frames, hardware, and locking systems, review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate bids for commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction estimating, knowledge of Division 8 products, and strong analytical, math, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in construction, doors and hardware, or related industry.
• Knowledge of Division 8 products including doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong communication skills with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents for Division 8 scope requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for doors, frames, hardware, and locking systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and product information.
• Analyze bid documents, addenda, and project requirements.
• Prepare and submit proposals and bid packages within deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients regarding project requirements.
• Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Ensure estimates align with company standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates involving construction documents, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and supporting bid submissions for commercial projects.
