Job summary

Placements24 in Pretoria seeks a Senior Construction Estimator to join a client team. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for a broad range of construction projects, driving competitive bids with accuracy.

You will quantify materials, labour, and equipment, review subcontractor bids, and collaborate with project managers to refine estimates and support bid presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field
• Minimum of 6 years as a Construction Estimator with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency with estimating software (CostX, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating) and Excel
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other tender documents
• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for projects, ensuring all potential costs are identified and accounted for
