Job summary

RemoteVA is hiring an Estimation & Plan Takeoff Specialist to analyze architectural and engineering drawings and produce accurate material, labor, and cost estimates for bids and execution.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, maintain records, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement, using digital takeoff tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in estimation or quantity takeoff in construction.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain estimation records/databases.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to validate takeoff results.
• Identify discrepancies or conflicts in drawings and communicate findings.
• Utilize digital takeoff and estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
• Support bid preparation and provide input for project budgets.
