Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities.
• Advocacy, case management, or client support experience.
• In-depth knowledge of disability types, support needs, and resources in Mpumalanga.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and empathetic engagement.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and case management software.
• Ability to work with diverse clients and stakeholders.
• Understanding of disability rights legislation and policies.
• Willingness to travel within the Nelspruit area.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support and advocacy to individuals with disabilities and their families in Nelspruit.
• Assist clients in accessing and navigating essential services, including healthcare, education, housing, and employment.
• Develop individualized support plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure clients' needs are met and rights are protected.
• Educate clients and families about resources and rights under relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, employers, and community agencies to support client integration.
• Organize and lead support groups and workshops for individuals with disabilities and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress and interventions.
• Represent clients' interests in meetings with service providers and stakeholders.
• Stay informed about legislation, policies, and best practices related to disability rights.
