Kraaifontein High School in Cape Town invites applications for the permanent Deputy Principal (Post Level 3). The successful candidate will support the Principal in managing the school, lead administrative tasks and ensure sound procedures across activities.

The role includes teaching responsibilities, curriculum leadership, stakeholder relations and governance with WCED policies. Candidates must have REQV 14, SACE registration, and at least five years of teaching experience.

Formación

• Qualified with a recognised four-year qualification (REQV 14); a postgraduate qualification in education management and leadership is an added advantage.
• Registration with SACE or proof of application for registration.
• Minimum of five years’ appropriate teaching experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting and deputising for the Principal; managing duty rosters, staff attendance, assessments, calendar, admissions, streaming; assisting with finances and facilities.
• Undertaking class teaching and instructional coaching according to workload and learner needs.
• Overseeing curriculum and pedagogy and supporting extra-/co-curricular programmes.
• Building relationships with the School Governing Body, staff, parents and the community; representing the Principal at meetings and events.
