Job summary

Rosebank College is seeking lecturers to teach cybersecurity modules and support student success within the Central Academic Team. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, updating the LMS, preparing assessments, and monitoring student progress.

Minimum requirements include two Master’s degrees (one in cybersecurity or IT and one in business with IT), 2–3 years of HE teaching, and copy of transcripts.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computing or related discipline.
• Also a Master’s degree in a business-related field with an IT module or IT systems research.
• Lecturing/tutoring experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, application security or computer security.
• Higher Education teaching experience and/or industry experience in cybersecurity, including security governance, cyber risk, digital forensics, security operations, cloud security, incident response, or penetration testing.
• 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring.
• 1–3 years industry-specific experience advantageous.
• One NQF level higher than the qualification being taught.
• Copy of academic transcript.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Engage and prepare students for assessments and develop assessments.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions.
• Attend academic meetings across faculties.
