Job summary

Rosebank College, part of The IIE, seeks an experienced lecturer in cybersecurity to deliver modules and engage students across multiple faculties. You will prepare assessments, track progress, and support at-risk students while collaborating with the Central Academic Team.

The role requires higher education teaching experience, strong cybersecurity expertise, and the ability to adapt to evolving academic environments. Classes run during standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Lecturing experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, or computer security.
• Higher Education teaching experience and/or industry experience in cybersecurity including governance, risk management, digital forensics, security operations.
• 2 to 3 years lecturing or formal tutoring.
• 1 to 3 years industry experience in area of specialization.
• One NQF level higher than the qualification being taught.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements.
• Manage resources including academic materials and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments as directed by the Central Academic Team.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions; escalate where needed.
• Attend academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on and analyze student module results.
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
