Job summary

Rosebank College in Pretoria invites applications for a lecturer in cybersecurity. You will teach multiple modules, engage students, track pacing and assessment readiness, and collaborate with the Central Academic Team to improve learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in cybersecurity or information technology, with higher education teaching experience, industry insight, and the ability to support at‑risk students and assess progress across modules.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a cybersecurity-related field required.
• Lecturing/tutoring experience in cybersecurity or related areas preferred.
• Higher Education teaching experience and/or industry experience in cybersecurity advantageous.
• 2–3 years lecturing or tutoring; 1–3 years industry experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements.
• Manage resources and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments per team briefings.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions; escalate where needed.
• Participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Analyse student module results and identify at-risk students.
• Complete required academic professional development interventions annually.
