Rosebank College in Durban seeks an experienced lecturer to teach cybersecurity and related IT modules, guiding 20 000+ students across campuses.

You will deliver lectures, manage materials, and keep LMS updated, while tracking assessments and supporting at-risk students. A master’s in cybersecurity or related field, plus HE teaching experience, is required; industry experience is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field; business-related master’s with IT module acceptable.
• Lecturing experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security or computer security.
• Higher Education teaching experience and/or industry experience in cybersecurity areas.
• 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring experience.
• 1–3 years industry-specific experience preferred.
• One NQF level higher than the qualification being taught.
• Provide copy of academic transcript.

Aufgaben

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module-specific requirements.
• Manage resources including academic materials and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments per Central Academic Team briefs.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions with escalation as needed.
• Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on and analyse student module results and outcomes.
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
• Complete required academic professional development interventions each cycle.
