Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join the established security team in a hybrid setup from Centurion. The role focuses on monitoring threats, analyzing alerts, and improving security posture while enabling a healthy work-life balance.

You will investigate incidents, review security events, and collaborate with IT to implement robust controls and policies. The ideal candidate has relevant degree and hands-on security experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and VPNs.
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security infrastructure for suspicious activities and respond to alerts from SIEM systems.
• Analyze security logs, network traffic, and system events to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct investigations into security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation actions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and enhance system resilience.
