Placements24 currently seeks a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join their security team in Kimberley, South Africa. You will research, analyze, and report on emerging threats, threat actors, and their TTPs, translating findings into actionable guidance for defense.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least three years in cyber threat intelligence or related security fields, plus familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and threat intel platforms.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking an inquisitive and proactive Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join their security team in Kimberley . This role is dedicated to researching, analyzing, and reporting on emerging cyber threats, threat actors, and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). You will leverage various sources to gather intelligence, assess its relevance and impact on the organization, and translate these findings into actionable insights to enhance defensive strategies. This is a challenging and rewarding position for someone passionate about understanding the threat landscape and contributing to proactive defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and collect information on current and emerging cyber threats , threat actors, and attack trends from open-source and proprietary intelligence feeds.
• Analyze collected intelligence to identify patterns, TTPs, and potential impacts on the organization's environment.
• Develop and disseminate timely threat intelligence reports and alerts to relevant stakeholders, including security operations and incident response teams.
• Provide strategic intelligence to inform security investments, risk assessments, and defensive strategy development.
• Contribute to threat hunting activities by providing context and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Maintain and mature threat intelligence platforms and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in cyber threat intelligence , cybersecurity analysis, or a related security role.
• Strong understanding of geopolitical landscapes and their impact on cyber threats.
