Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an experienced Cashier for their N1 City store in Cape Town. Support customer service at point of sale while ensuring a world-class shopping experience and accurate transaction recording on the Dis-Chem operating system.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, a minimum of 6 months cashier/till experience, proficiency in MS Office, and strong English. You will handle cash, cards, vouchers, loyalty cards, and adhere to SOPs and security policies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is a minimum requirement.
• At least 6 months cashier/till experience.
• Computer literate with MS Office.
• Strong numerical skills and accuracy.
• Excellent English communication.
• Willing to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service policies and procedures.
• Establish professional relationships with customers.
• Report complaints/ compliments to frontline supervisor.
• Process transactions accurately and securely.
• Handle loyalty cards and various payment methods.
• Follow SOPs for cash handling and security.
• Be vigilant for suspicious activity and report it.
