Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Minimum 6 months’ cashier/till experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Sound numerical skills.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
• Transact all purchases – receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, etc.).
• Process loyalty cards including partner programs.
• Ensure cash is placed in drop safe per SOPs.
• Be vigilant and report suspicious behavior to management.
• Handle daily takings confidentially and only discuss with management.
