Job summary

RMB Nigeria Limited is seeking a Custody Client Service Specialist in Johannesburg to provide high-quality service through the full value chain from account setup to closure. You will maintain open communication with clients to retain and enhance their experience and respond to custody/settlements queries and related corporate events.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12; Tertiary qualification advantageous
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within Client Services
• Experience in a Securities environment advantageous

Responsibilities

• Investigate issues that clients face with Custody and Corporate Events and reply to queries.
• Coordinate, monitor, record keep and reconcile account opening, amendment and closing requests.
• Respond to client queries concerning custody/settlements and cash discrepancies; investigate unmatched trades and debit-credit entries.
• Dispatch reports required by direct clients as per agreed process.
• Engage in safekeeping of client documentation for account administration.
• Investigate corporate events and settlement issues; respond to cash inquiries and market questionnaires.
• Contribute to client visits and service reviews; support Line Manager with materials for visits/reviews.
• Adhere to controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensure escalation of control issues and reputation risks.
• Demonstrate leadership on regulatory and compliance matters; maintain awareness of risk and mitigation measures.
• Develop and nurture relationships across areas of specialization; report on service delivery against SLAs.
