Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking a Commis Baker to join our onboard kitchen team on a cruise ship.

You will assist in the preparation and production of breads, pastries, and desserts, measure ingredients to recipes, and operate ovens and mixers to produce consistent, high-quality goods. You must have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately.
Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and production of breads, pastries, and desserts.
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes.
Operate and maintain baking equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers).
Decorate and package finished products for display and sale.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation with proper labeling and storage.
Follow safety and hygiene standards for food handling and storage.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Continuously improve baking techniques and recipes to meet guest expectations.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
