Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section onboard a cruise ship. You will plan, prepare, and execute a variety of desserts and pastries for guests, while supervising junior pastry staff and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

You will collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and ensure a seamless dining experience across dining rooms and events, adapting to a fast-paced cruise environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry in a high-volume, fine dining establishment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Knowledge of a variety of pastry techniques and styles, including French pastry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the cruise schedule.
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working onboard a cruise ship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute desserts and pastries for guests onboard a cruise ship.
• Supervise and train junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper ordering and storage of ingredients.
