Job summary

Salt is seeking a Junior CRM Executive to join a growing marketing team within an international group. This hands-on CRM role focuses on building and executing email and SMS campaigns, managing audience segments, supporting CRM journeys, and ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.

Based in Johannesburg, this onsite role requires collaboration with Marketing, Admissions, Digital and CRM teams to optimise campaigns and data quality while learning new tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with a CRM or email marketing platform (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Ometria, HubSpot).
• Experience building and deploying email campaigns.
• Strong data analysis and ability to interpret campaign performance.
• Willingness to learn new CRM, automation and reporting tools.
• Basic HTML knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy email and SMS campaigns across CRM platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand briefs and timelines.
• Create and maintain audience segments and marketing databases.
• Develop lead capture forms and journeys.
• QA content, links, personalisation, tracking and audiences.
• Support A/B testing and analyse campaign performance.
• Monitor open rates, clicks, unsubscribes and conversions.
• Assist with data imports, exports, cleansing and deduplication.
• Maintain accurate customer records and consent preferences.
• Generate campaign reports and insights for optimisation.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Admissions, Digital and CRM teams.
• Manage multiple campaigns and deadlines with high accuracy.

Overview

We’re looking for a Junior CRM Executive to join a growing marketing team within a leading international group.

This is a hands‑on CRM role focused on building and executing email and SMS campaigns, managing audience segments, supporting CRM journeys, and ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy email and SMS campaigns across CRM platforms
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand campaign briefs and manage timelines
• Create and maintain audience segments, distribution lists and marketing databases
• Build and maintain forms and lead capture journeys
• Conduct thorough QA across content, links, personalisation, tracking and audiences
• Support A/B testing and analyse campaign performance
• Monitor key metrics including open rates, clicks, unsubscribes and conversions
• Assist with data imports, exports, cleansing and deduplication
• Maintain accurate customer records, consent preferences and CRM data
• Generate campaign reports and provide insights for future optimisation
• Work closely with Marketing, Admissions, Digital and CRM teams
• Manage multiple campaigns and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Requirements

• Previous experience with a CRM or email marketing platform such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Ometria, HubSpot or similar
• Experience building and deploying email campaigns
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret campaign performance
• A willingness to learn new CRM, automation and reporting tools
• Basic HTML knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience with marketing automation, customer journeys, UTM tracking or lead capture would be beneficial
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a wider team
