Job summary

Headhunters is seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper in the Eastern Cape region to support financial operations. The role focuses on creditor reconciliations, invoicing, and general financial administration within a busy team.

Requirements include Matric, a bookkeeping or accounting qualification (Degree or Diploma), and practical experience with AccPac or Sage, plus solid MS Excel skills. A valid driver's license is preferred to coordinate supplier visits.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Degree or Diploma in bookkeeping or accounting is required.
• Practical experience in creditors reconciliations and financial administration.
• Working knowledge of AccPac or Sage and MS Office tools.
• Experience with invoicing, purchasing or warehouse administration advantageous.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplier reconciliations for month-end payments and submit to Financial Manager.
• Investigate statement differences, missing invoices and credits; follow up with suppliers.
• Process creditor bank transactions and expense entries in company records.
• Reconcile petty cash and assist with banking with the Financial Manager.
• Maintain organised financial records and filing for easy retrieval.
• Assist Financial Manager and Director with finance and admin tasks.
• Send invoices and delivery documents to major clients weekly and follow up queries.
• Complete weekly schedule, review reconciliations and manage claims on GATEWAYS.
• Prepare and submit the Supercare rebate spreadsheet monthly.
• Process customer orders and resolve queries; coordinate stock receipts.
• Handle stock purchasing and supplier stock receipts within approval procedures.
• Prepare delivery trip sheets and coordinate warehouse/delivery activities.
• Verify stock loaded against delivery docs and report discrepancies.
• Load invoices for credit processing and obtain approvals.
• Assist with stocktakes and record stock data accurately.
