Job summary

Skillnet Recruitment is seeking a Creditors Controller to manage the creditors function in a mid-career capacity within the financial services sector. The role focuses on accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and timely payments in line with company procedures.

Requirements include Grade 12 (Matric) and a relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping, with experience in creditors/accounts payable.

Job Description

Purpose of the Position: To manage the creditors' function, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and capture supplier invoices accurately and on time.
• Reconcile supplier statements with accounting records.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier queries.
• Prepare creditors reconciliations and payment schedules.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate creditors records.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping (advantage).
• Prior experience in creditors/accounts payable.
• Knowledge of supplier reconciliations and invoice processing.
• Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting systems (advantage).
• Strong numerical, organizational, and administrative skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional conduct, reliability, and confidentiality handling.
