Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Control Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain industrial control systems for energy-related operations in Centurion. You will ensure safety, reliability, and performance of automated systems and collaborate with operations teams.

The role demands a bachelor’s in control/electrical engineering, 6+ years’ experience with PLC/SCADA, and strong cybersecurity knowledge. A hands-on engineer with a passion for automation is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
6+ years designing, implementing, maintaining industrial control systems.
Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA configuration.
Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols and cybersecurity for control systems.
Experience with HMI development and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and program industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS).
Implement and troubleshoot automation solutions for energy generation and monitoring.
Maintain control system documentation (logic diagrams, P&IDs, manuals).
Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of new hardware/software.
Collaborate with mechanical/electrical engineers for seamless integration.
Provide training and technical support to plant operators and maintenance staff.
