Redline Recruitment invites applications for an experienced Interior Designer on a 6 to 12-month fixed-term contract based in Melrose, Johannesburg. The role spans creative design and practical implementation across offices, hospitality, residential, events and conference spaces.

The candidate will manage diverse projects, develop concepts, and coordinate furniture, finishes and signage while maintaining timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Spatial Design or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years’ relevant interior design experience at a mid-level.
• Experience within commercial/workplace interiors, hospitality, residential or events would be advantageous.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interior design, space planning, finishes and furniture selections.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a variety of interior design projects, including refurbishments, upgrades, space refreshes and new layouts.
• Develop concepts, mood boards, space plans, furniture selections, finishes and styling proposals.
• Provide practical and creative design solutions reflecting required standards, functionality and overall aesthetic.
• Assist with selection and coordination of furniture, lighting, décor, finishes, fixtures and signage.
• Provide design support for events and conferences, including layouts and staging.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and installers, including quotations and procurement support.
• Prepare design presentations, specifications, schedules and other documentation.
