Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead innovative interior design projects from our Upington studio. You will conceptualize and execute schemes for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, ensuring aesthetics, functionality and client satisfaction.

Manage projects from initial consultation through installation in collaboration with architects, contractors, and suppliers. The role demands a strong portfolio, extensive software proficiency, and leadership in the design

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or related field required.
• Minimum 6 years of interior design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of spatial planning and color theory.
• Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.
• Awareness of SA building codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts and schemes for diverse projects.
• Produce detailed drawings, mood boards, and 3D visualizations to present design proposals.
• Source and specify furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractor coordination.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients throughout the design process.
• Oversee project installations and ensure design intent is realized.
