Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Process Engineer for a contract assignment in Centurion. You will assess and enhance manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, optimize material flow, and implement best practices to improve output and quality.

The role requires a 4+ year track record in process engineering and strong Lean knowledge, with the ability to work independently and communicate complex analyses to site operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with industrial focus.
• 4+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing support, or operations analysis.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with process simulation and data analysis software.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and present results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
• Develop and document new process flows, layouts, and operational procedures.
• Implement process control strategies and recommend upgrades where beneficial.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to pilot and roll out improvements.
• Measure and report the impact of changes using KPIs.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to resolve production challenges.
