Job summary

Greys Personnel in Johannesburg is seeking a detail-oriented logistics administrator. You will manage daily delivery updates, confirm container statuses, and communicate with clients to ensure smooth imports/exports. The role requires accuracy, reconciliations, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities include Navis printing, invoicing, updating daily schedules, and handling depot/solas communications, ensuring timely processing of all import/export instructions.

Qualifications

• Matric and 3 years related experience required.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Accurate with strong attention to detail.
• Strong reconciliation skills are required.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Send out delivery updates daily at 07h00.
• Confirm empty turn in depots for containers on delivery.
• Email clients with containers not released.
• If vessel is in and working, email clients to confirm status.
• Confirm export containers are stacked, print Navis.
• Send completed export instruction for invoicing.
• Pull turn in POD for previous days and confirm empties were turned in.
• Verify import instructions to ensure correct capture.
• Verify export instructions to ensure correct capture.
• Process rail instructions.
• Pull invoicing for all imports loaded daily.
• Update status schedules and send to client daily by 12h00.
• Provide Transport Supervisor/Tracking copies of delivery notes.
• Pre-advise firm stack exports.
• Confirm pre-advises pulled through on Navis.
• Send all SOLAS certificates.
• Action depot requests from client, repo, SOLAS, etc.
• Amend instructions on system as per client updates.
• Send third party instruction for sold loads.
• Send CIR/endorsed terminal slip to client when received.
• Follow through on all import instructions from receipt to invoicing.
• Follow through on all export instructions from receipt to invoicing.
• Capture all Import and Export instructions daily before end of shift.
• Deal with client queries daily via mail and telephone.
