Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator in Cape Town to manage import/export operations from our hub. You will prepare documentation, liaise with carriers and customs brokers, and ensure timely delivery within a collaborative logistics team.

The role requires 3+ years in international logistics, strong negotiation, and excellent organizational skills, with proficiency in logistics software and office tools. A hybrid work model is offered to balance office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in international logistics or import/export coordination.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures and shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, customs declarations, COOs).
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams for seamless transit.
• Track shipments, provide timely updates, resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records and data integrity in systems.
• Negotiate rates with service providers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
